Weekly Photo Challenge – Waiting

This weekend was Disneyland’s Annual Candlelight Processional. Sara and I opted to watch on Saturday at 5:30.

We got there early to stake out a spot, 3:00 early! It was cold and I endured bad ass kids kicking and knocking into me for 3 and a half hours.

As the sun went down, it was time to light up the Main Street Christmas Tree!! Check it out!

All the waiting was so worth it! Hundreds of choral singers walked in with their candles. All got positioned and the whole show got on the road. Gary Sinise narrated this year. He did a GREAT job. It’s very moving to hear the story of Christmas with live music and choir singers. A definite must see!!

The Fit Dream!

What non-exercise activity do you wish would keep you fit?

How apropos! The Post of the Day fits with my ongoing struggle. This week has been tough. Although, I have re-devoted myself, I lack the drive. Summer is my motivation, but I want quicker results.

I digress, back to the post! I think my honest answer would be 1. Sleep or 2. Drinking Beer.

If you know me, you know I love to sleep. I don’t sleep as much or as often as before, but I still require lots of it. May as well get my sleep on now, while I don’t have any kids. Right?

The last year or so, I have grown to love beer. My palette has expanded and my tastes are more diverse. I enjoy beer with food and can rarely drink it without it. Sadly enough, beer has a lot of “points plus” and I should avoid them. BUT I do not! Perhaps the reason I’m not seeing faster results.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Boundaries!

NO! No! NO and Noooooo!!

Went for a hike with a friend over the weekend! This sign struck me for this week’s topic!! We are often oblivious to the signs around us! We are given boundaries for some reason or another!

Be sure to check out your “boundaries” next time you are out and about!!

Whodini said it BEST!

How many of us have them?

What is the “true” meaning of a friend!?

I’m sure we all have our own interpretations! Heres mine…

With a true friend, time can pass and you will always pick up where you left off.

A true friend will lend an ear, shoulder, kick in the ass, laugh, tear, advice,  dollar or anything they can.

A true friend will not be easily offended, walk on egg shells or require high maintenance.

A true friend can be on a different page or chapter, but still be in the same book! 🙂

Thank you for sharing in my Hallmark moment…
